Why choose a Bed & Breakfast over a regular hotel?
A Bed & Breakfast offers a much more comfortable stay, a hot home-cooked meal and friendly personalized service you just will not  get with a big chain hotel. While many of the amenities may be similar, your experience at a bed & breakfast will be much more pleasant and memorable.

What is a “Suite”?
A suite is simply an additional room accessed privately from your bedroom; much like a family or living room. This extra room can be used to sleep additional guests, or to give you a little more space for relaxing, reading, watching TV. Several of our rooms can be converted into Suites if requested.

Can more than 2 people stay in a room?
Rooms can only accommodate two persons, while a suite can accommodate two additional guests for a total of 4. Advanced reservation is required for more than two guests so that we may prepare the suite for your stay. Additional fees apply.

Will we have to share a bathroom with other guests?
No; all rooms have private baths

Is there internet access?
Yes, the Inn provides high-speed WiFi Internet service. Ask the Innkeeper for the login password.

What is served for breakfast?
Each morning we lovingly prepare a scrumptious hot breakfast which always includes fresh-cut fruit, homemade fruit muffins and a hot entree such as Hashbrown-Sausage Casserole, Biscuits & Gravy, Fruit & Yogurt-stuffed Crepes, Eggs Benedict, Waffles, Quiche Lorraine, Strawberry-Stuffed French Toast or eggs served any way you like them.  We pride ourselves on preparing many of our breakfast items from scratch, including homemade breads, fruit syrups, savory sauces and sweet treats while using locally grown fruits and vegetables as much as possible.

At Blue Ridge Inn, breakfast is a time to meet the other guests, share experiences and plan the day′s adventures.  We′ll serve you with true southern hospitality, a genuine warm smile and plenty of laughter.  Then as you set out to experience a beautiful Blue Ridge day, you′ll be ready for anything! Breakfast is served each morning at 8:30am

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in starts at 3pm. Check-out is 11am.

If you will be arriving after 6pm, we ask you to contact us and let us know your arrival time. We will make arrangements for a late check-in. We have a check-in kiosk for late check-ins located by our back entrance where you will find an envelope with your name on it.

Do you allow alcoholic beverages?
Yes, we do.  Even though we do not sell or supply alcohol, you’re welcome to bring your own.  If bringing your own alcoholic beverages, we supply glasses, corkscrew, ice, and guest fridge for your convenience.  Glasses and corkscrew are located on the sideboard of the dining room.

What forms of payment do you accept?
Yes, gladly accept all major credit cards – Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover.  We also accept our gift cards and cash.

Pet and Smoking Policy
No pets are permitted on property. Only service animals as defined under the ADA are permitted and must be under the handler’s control at all times. Emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals are not considered service animals under the ADA, and we do not allow these on premises. Guests violating this policy will be charged a minimum $250 cleaning fee.

The Blue Ridge Inn Bed and Breakfast  is strictly non-smoking (and non-vaping), indoors.  Should it be determined that smoking has taken place in a guestroom, the hotel will charge a $250 cleaning fee, placed on the guest folio at the time of discovery, either before or after check-out.

What do we need to bring with us?
We provide linens, extra blankets, towels, hairdryer and an alarm clock in every room. We also have an iron/ironing board available if needed. We proudly provide Beekman 1802 amenities in each bathroom – soap, bath gel, shampoo, conditioner. Originally found in such stores as Anthropologie and Williams-Sonoma, the Beekman 1802 line of amenities features subtle fragrances and are gentle enough for everyday use.

What are the parking arrangements?
Limited free on-site parking is available on a first come basis. There is also plenty of free parking across the street at City Hall

Is there a minimum night’s stay required?
Most of the time, we do not have a minimum required stay. During holidays, special events and the month of October, we do have a two night minimum. The Grande Suite requires a 2 night minimum year-round.

Do you offer early check-in?
Normal check-in starts at 3pm. If you need access to your room earlier, we do offer early check-in starting at 1pm for an additional fee of $50 based on availability. This is not always available due to high occupancy. This must be arranged at time of booking.

Do you offer late check-out?
Normal check-out is at 11am. If you need access to your room later, we can offer late check-out for an additional fee of $50 based on availability. Because of high occupancy, it is not always available. This must be arranged at time of booking.

Are you handicapped accessible?
Due to the historic nature of our Inn, we are not wheelchair accessible. All entrances have stairs.

My spouse is unable to climb stairs. Will this be a problem?
All of the entrances to the Inn have stairs, but we do have several rooms on the first floor. We recommend anyone having difficulty with stairs to book the Rose Room, Kincaid Suite or Grande Room/Suite. They are on the 1st floor and easiest to get to.  The Rose is at the front of the house, has its own parking spot close to the entrance and only 3 steps to enter the house.

Can we use the kitchen to prepare meals?
Due to health department regulations, our main kitchen is off limits to guests. However, if you want to be able to prepare meals while staying with us, we recommend that you reserve the Grande Suite. This apartment has a full kitchen and dining room for your own private use.

We do have a guest refrigerator in the kitchen which you can use to store anything you need to keep refrigerated.   We also provide complimentary bottled water on the bottom shelf of the guest fridge.

Can you accommodate my diet restrictions?
We can accommodate most dietary needs with advance notice. Please call in advance to discuss.

Can we purchase gift certificates?
Gift certificates are a wonderful gift for family and friends. We offer them at any monetary level you want. Due to seasonal pricing changes and the many customized options available, we issue the certificates for a set amount to be applied to a reservation rather than specifying a particular room and date applicable.

Minors Policy
Adults ages 18 and above are welcome at the Blue Ridge Inn Bed and Breakfast.   We do allow children age 12 and above. 

Cancellation Policy

Our standard cancellation policy is three (3) days, however certain special event weekends such as holidays, festivals and the months of Sept – Dec require a five (5) day cancellation. If you have a question please phone us at 706-661-7575 for clarification.

If your plans require that you must cancel or change your reservation, we will gladly refund your deposit minus a $35 merchant processing fee provided it is outside your stated cancellation/stay reduction period.

If you cancel inside your cancellation/stay reduction period, we will charge your card for the first full night.

The entire balance of your stay will be charged to the card on file. You will be sent a reservation reminder 5-7 days prior to your arrival.

The cancellation fee also applies to changes in your arrival/departure date which result in a shorter stay. No refunds are provided for late arrivals or early departures.
